National Train Day is this Saturday, May 9!
While we’re not quite ready to open up our Train Room to the public (see us at Art-a-Whirl the following weekend), we will be celebrating National Train Day at a few locations around the Twin Cities.
The small 1950’s era Lego® train layout that we displayed at the Weisman Museum last fall now resides at the Minnesota Transportation Museum/Jackson Street Roundhouse in St. Paul, MN. Roger will be on hand at the Jackson Street Roundhouse this Saturday to run the layout and answer your questions, as part of the MTM’s National Train Day events.
Meanwhile, the newly renovated Union Depot in St. Paul, MN is also hosting special events on National Train Day from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Steve and Jesse will be at Union Depot with custom Lego® train models, including the Blue Line and Northstar Rail trains, Target Field light rail platform, and some other surprises.
Visitors to our National Train Day events will also get first crack at our brand new club business cards, fresh from the printers.
