Just wanted to send out a big “Thank You!” to all the visitors we had in the Brickmania space during the three days of Art-A-Whirl.

Special thanks to the bands, the artist vendors, Pizza Luce, and especially Dan and the Brickmania crew!

Our next regularly scheduled “second Saturday of the month” Open House will be June 9th, 10am – 4pm. Hope to see you there!

The new space is mostly ready, the train layouts look great, the stage is set for the bands to play on, the store is stocked with Brickmania and Brickarms — and we’re looking forward to seeing you!

Official hours are 5-10pm Friday, noon-8pm Saturday, and noon-5pm on Sunday.
(“Unofficially”, things might run later on Friday and Saturday…)

We’ve been warned that the music might get a little ‘heavy’ and loud later on Saturday, so if you’re bringing kids you might want to try for earlier in the day on Saturday or Sunday.

And as always, bring your LEGO train and we’ll pull one of ours off the track and run yours!

We want to invite everyone to come visit the GMLTC during Art-A-Whirl, May 18th – 20th. The Brickmania space will be jumping, with bands, and artist vendors, and Pizza Luce selling pizza by the slice (Friday and Saturday only), and of course the LEGO trains.

We’ve been working hard to get the space ready for you, we still have some more work in the next ten days but by next Friday we’ll be ready to see everyone.

And after Art-A-Whirl, we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled second Saturday of the month Open Houses starting June 9th!

Please join us at La Crosse Center in downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin on March 17 and 18 for the 2012 La Crosse Three Rivers Model Railroad Club 31st Annual Model Railroad and Miniature Show! There will be trains of all shapes and sizes at this show, from Z scale to HO scale to L (Lego®) scale on up to G (Garden) scale, and we’ll be just one part of the fun. This will also be the first time the GMLTC train layout has traveled since its move to the Brickmania Toyworks in 2010.

To our fans in southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin, we’ve missed you and are looking forward to seeing you again! To our Twin Cities fans, this would be a great opportunity to see a wide variety of model trains in a very family-friendly environment.

On March 10, Brickmania Toyworks will open its doors to the public for a free open house from 10 AM to 4 PM. The open house features two large, running LEGO® train displays and an always changing selection of guest displays. We also have a play area with bricks for building, a race car ramp, and other creative activities depending on volunteers.

The Brickmania Toyworks is located in a repurposed warehouse the heart of the Northeast Minneapolis arts district. In addition to being the headquarters for Brickmania LLC (a company specializing on creating custom kits made from LEGO® bricks) we are also the permanent host for the displays of the Greater Midwest Lego® Train Club and Twin Cities Lego® Train Club.

Our free open house usually takes place on the second Saturday of each month. However, Brickmania will be relocating to a new space this spring and we will not have open houses during the months of April and May 2012. If you can not attend the March 10th open houses, please mark your calendar for our grand reopening on June  9th (in a much bigger space about 150 feet down the hall from our current location).
